Jon brings 20 years of experience in working with nonprofit organizations to help Confluence Strategies clients build compelling and effective campaigns. Jon has directed community based, statewide and national organizations and led campaigns to strengthen democracy, to protect the environment and to build sustainable communities. His expertise includes program planning and management, campaign strategy and leadership, staff management, policy development, fundraising, media relations and financial stewardship.
Jon grew up in Denver’s Park Hill neighborhood. He and his family live in Denver where they enjoy summer barbeques, playing soccer, going to the pool, hiking, biking, skiing, snowboarding and many other active pursuits.

Since attending Colorado State in the late 1980’s Roland has spent over 20 years working with various non-profits and small businesses in meeting their organizational goals and expanding their reach and effectiveness. Roland thrives on grassroots organizing – through which he has: planned statewide and national events and trainings; marketed campaigns, goods, and services through paid and earned media efforts; and developed strategies for and then managed effective campaigns. Many of his experiences have included the focus on the financial, administrative and staff management systems that often mean the difference between success and failure in the non-profit and small business arena.
Roland is lucky enough to live in one of his favorite places, Fort Collins Colorado, with his three favorite people, wife Kim & two young children, where sometimes he finds himself lucky enough to enjoy some of his favorite activities, such as biking, camping, fishing & hunting, snowboarding and rafting.
